Kelly Billington is the Curriculum Consultant/At-Risk Specialist for AC Jones. This is her third year in this position, and her ninth year in education. Ms. Billington has a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Midwestern State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Marketing from Sam Houston State University. She also holds a teacher's certification in Business Education, a Principal's Certification, and is certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training.
In her nine years in education, Ms. Billington has taught Business Information Systems (formerly Business Computer Information Systems (BCIS)), Desktop Publishing, Multimedia, Digital Graphics & Animation, Webmastering, and Yearbook. She also taught a Computer Literacy course for third grade when she was at Era ISD in Cooke County, Texas. Ms. Billington has been a UIL Academic coach for computer applications and spelling/vocabulary, an organization sponsor for Yearbook and Senior classes, and has coordinated other various activities for fund-raising and volunteer opportunities for students.
Prior to beginning her career in education, Ms. Billington has logged over twenty years in public information, customer service, sales, and marketing support in fast-paced and rapidly expanding companies. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, and has worked side by side with government entities at the local, state and federal levels.
