AC Jones High School is home to the Health Professions Magnet Academy (HPMA).  The HPMA is an exciting opportunity and choice for students who are interested in pursuing careers in health care.  The Academy expands the existing high school curriculum by offering unique health science-focused electives. Junior and Senior level courses will be focused on earning nationally recognized healthcare certificates. The certificates earned in the HPMA will allow graduates to pursue employment as a certified technician in several different medical fields.  Graduates who want to continue their education can also benefit from the HPMA experince.  They will be able to leverage their certificates to begin working while they are still in college, giving them a source of income and on the job experience.
