Homecoming Announcments

The Community Pep Rally for Homecoming will begin with the Homecoming Parade at 6:00 pm.

The Homecoming Court Presentation and Crowning Events will take place at the Community Pep Rally.

All Homecoming Court Nominees need to stop by the Choir Room 4th Period B Lunch time only.  Teachers, do no release students from your classes if they are testing.

Club Sponsors, Monday, September 25th is the last day to submit your organization’s Beau and Sweetheart to Mr. Galaviz.  

Student Council has set the following dress-up days for Homecoming Week:
Monday, September 25th – College Spirit Day – You can paint half of your face and hair (no permanent hair color, please)
Tuesday, September 26th – Disney vs. Pixar Day
Wednesday, September 27th – Dress As Your Favorite Teacher!
Thursday, September 28th – Superheroes vs. Villains
Friday, September 29th – Orange Out, Classes please add the following color to your orange out:  Seniors: Orange; Juniors: Navy Blue; Sophomores: White; Freshmen: Grey

Junior Class

Juniors, please stop by Room 505, Mrs. Porter’s room, to sign up for the Homecoming concession stand.  There are over 250 juniors, and we currently have 25 students signed up to help raise funds for the Junior-Senior Prom.  Remember that you can have someone work in your place if you can’t be there.

A.C. Jones Blood Drive

Awesome job to all of our A.C. Jones students and staff that gave blood.  We had 50 successful donations, which is 150 lives saved.  Be prepared for our next blood drive on Tuesday, November 14th.  Remember Seniors need 3 donations in order to receive a red cord for Graduation, and if you are unable to donate due to weight or anemia, you will need 5 people to donate in your name in order to receive your cord.

Young Ambassadors

Young Ambassadors will be having their first get together Monday, September 25th at 4:15 pm after school in the lecture hall.  Pizza and giveaways will be present.  For more information, see Alanis Arredondo.

Skills USA

Skills USA with Mrs. Garza will meet on Monday, September 25th in Room 326 at 4:00 pm to discuss the Remind App and go over the contest list.  All members MUST attend!


Attention:  Seniors!  The Barnhart Office will be having FAFSA Night on Monday, October 2nd, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm in the Library Computer Lab.  Door prizes will be given!  You may create your student FSA ID online before FAFSA Night.  Go by the Barnhart Office and schedule an appointment with Ms. Munoz.

October SAT

If you registered for the October 7th SAT and paid for it with your own money, the College Board will reimburse your payment since Bee County is a Hurricane Harvey affected area.  You will need to call College Board to request the refund.  For more information, including the phone number to call, please see Ms. Munoz in the Barnhart Office.

Also, the last day to register online for the October 7th SAT is Wednesday, September 27th.  If you still need to register, please see Ms. Munoz in the Barnhart Office.


PSAT Testing for students in 9th-11th grades will be on October 11th at 8:00 am.

This is a very important test that will qualify you for scholarships and college/military admissions.  You will get more information closer to time.  You will need an ID to test.  If you do not have an ID, please see Mrs. Mary Lou Barrientes in the Principal’s Office during both lunches.

Bee Fest

The Beeville Art Museum will hold its first ever Bee Fest event on Saturday, October 14th.  They are looking for volunteers to help run some of the activities and will need helpers from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Please go by the Barnhart Office to sign up.  You will not be required to work the entire day.  The representatives from the museum will set up 2 and 4 hour shifts to work.


ASVAB testing for all Juniors will be held on November 15th at 8:15 am.

Algebra I EOC Retesters

From the Math Department:

Algebra I retesters and 9th graders needing tutorials for the Algebra I EOC (the test you need to pass in order to graduate), the Math Department will be holding tutorials every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm in Room 203.  Please take advantage of this time and freshen up your skills.

Artistic? Like To Draw?

Miss Western Week is looking for students who are interested in volunteering their artistic talents for a couple of projects.  Please go by the Barnhart Office if interested.


FFA is having a fundraiser to sell cookie dough in 3 pound buckets.  Please see an FFA member if they do not find you first.
