Mini Lesson Videos Week 1 and Week 2

The videos should assist you in helping complete homework problems for Geometry.

Tuesday – Page 1 Notes – Distance and Midpoint Formula

This shows the steps we used to get to the distance and midpoint formula. It also has one example with midpoint formula.

Tuesday – Page 1 Notes – Distance and Midpoint Formula Example plus Solution

This shows the steps used to use the distance and midpoint formula. I also went throught the simplification process to assist you solving other similar problems.

Wednesday – Page 2 Notes – Fractional Distance Example plus Solution

This shows the steps used to use the fractional distance formula and how to simplify to get to the solution. This example is from A to B.  Rember if the question is from B to A make sure you subtract the fraction from 1 first. For example it is (1/4). Then you need 1 – (1/4) = (3/4)

Thursday – Page 3 Notes – Midpoint with Linear Equation Example plus Solution

This shows the steps to solve a midpoint problem on a number line with linear expressions.

Thursday – Page 3 Notes – Sum on number line with Linear Equation Example plus Solution

This shows the steps to solve a summation problem on a number line with linear expressions.

Tuesday – Page 4 Notes – Introduction to Logic

This shows the steps to create conditional, converse, inverse and contrapositive statements.

Tuesday – Page 4 Notes – Logic with math symbols

This shows the steps to create conditional, converse, inverse and contrapositive statements with p’s and q’s.

Thursday – Page 5 Notes – Biconditional Statements

This shows how to turn two true conditional statements into one biconditional statement.

Thursday – Page 5 Notes – Counter Example

This shows how to prove a conditional statement using a counter example.
