AMY HINSON
I graduated from Rockport-Fulton High School in 2004 with the intention of becoming an elementary school teacher, but quickly discovered that my passion for English and literature were much stronger. I attended Texas A&M Corpus and majored in English and minored in creative writing. Currently, I am in my third year of teaching English 1 & 3 at AC Jones High School. I love reading and writing and thoroughly enjoy passing that love on to my students.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude and have a BA in Engllish from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with a minor in creative writing and a license to teach high school English in the state of Texas.
I have participated in a good deal of professional development through both Beeville ISD and the Education Service Center.
I started teaching at AC Jones High School in the middle of October in 2015 and have been here since then. I started out teaching mostly English 3; this is my first year working with ALL freshmen. I teach English 1 until 7th period, when I have two sections of Practical Writing Skills
I am not married, but I am the proud mama of two cats, Roar-E and Ziggy Stardust.
In my fourth year, teaching still keeps me pretty busy, but when I’m not teaching I enjoy reading, crafting, hanging out with friends, and playing the ukulele.
