I came to Beeville way back in 1974 and first attended school at FMC. I graduated from AC Jones High School, the Fighting Trojans, in 1985!
I had always wanted to be a teacher but did not make the decision to go to school until later in life. When I did, I received my associates here from CBC.
After receiving my associates I went on to Texas A&M Corpus Christi where I received my bachelors.
I have also attended school in both Mexico and in Spain.
I am currently working on my masters in Learning and Technology with WGU and should recieve it by this December 2018.
I am a memeber of the TFLA and attend their conferences and their workshops when time permits.
I started my third year of teaching here at AC Jones in 2009 and could not wait for my first day of school here. Now, every year when school begins, I still get that same feeling of excitement to meet my new students for the year.
My first year of teaching was just down the road at Skidmore Tynan High School where I taught Spanish 1 & 2 and was head of the Spanish Department. After teaching there I went on to Ingleside where I taught Spanish for one year and then came here to Beeville as soon as there was an opening!
I am married to the BEST GUY in the whole world! After kissing enough frogs, I finally found my prince!
I have one incredible daughter who I love traveling the world with. We have been to SEVEN different countries together and we aren't stopping now!!! She has also attended school in Mexico and Spain.
God has also blessed me with two more amazing daughters when I married my prince, Mr Greenup. We asked these amazing young women to become ordained and perform the ceremony at our wedding. What an incredible gift that was.
This is one of my favorite pictures of our girls.
I have an incredible amount of critters!!!! I love my critters!!! I will post some pictures of them at a later date.
I love love love owls!!! I used to have one. As a matter of fact, I used to have an owl, doe, skunk, raccoon, possum,….there really isn’t a lot that I haven’t had! LOL
And I love Winnie the Pooh. He has been my hero since I was four years old. I can still smell the stuffed Pooh that my grandma gave me on my first trip to Disney world.
That’s another thing that I love….Disney World. I wish I lived in the park it self! Back in 2001 I even did a full marathon that ran through all of the four parks! One of the best things I ever did!
My FAVORITE holidays are Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos!!! I actually get a little sad when they have come to an end and I have to wait for another 365 days before they return.
