As a native of Beeville, I attended A.C. Jones High School through my 10th grade year when I entered the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science in Denton, TX. After two years at TAMS, I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where I completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 1995. I then decided to complete a social studies teaching certification before leaving Texas A&M.

I began teaching at A.C. Jones High School in Beeville ISD August of 1997 and taught continuously, since then, in the Social Studies department. I have taught every subject in social studies over the years, however, my specialty areas are Economics and Psychology. I am currently teaching Economics, Macroeconomics AP, Psychology, and Sociology. In addition, I have proudly coached the state-award-winning A.C. Jones High School Academic Decathlon team since 2001.
I serve as the Social Studies Department Head and on numerous current and prior committees at the school and district level.
I raise many pets and animals including dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens. I happily live in the country and enjoy living in a small town; I love easy traffic and space between neighbors. I come from a family of educators and truly enjoy working with teenage students.
My hobbies include raising animals and reading. In my free time, I catch up on land and animal work at home, try cooking new and diverse dishes, and read. I hope to start vegetable gardening and put in fruit trees or a bee hive in the next year. I am also trying to travel to new places each year both in and out of the country.
